QR Codes for URLs, Wi-Fi and Contacts

Generate QR codes for URLs, plain text, vCard contacts, Wi-Fi credentials, email, SMS or phone numbers, then download them as PNG or SVG. Rendering happens in your browser - the data you encode is never uploaded.

The error correction setting is a real trade-off, not a formality: level L survives 7% damage and stays compact, H survives 30% but produces a denser code. Pick H if you plan to overlay a logo, L if the code must stay small. How the modules, masking and Reed-Solomon correction actually work is dissected in QR code internals.

QR Code Questions

URLs, plain text, vCard contacts, WiFi credentials, email addresses, phone numbers, SMS links. Basically any short text data. The more data, the denser the code.

Depends on scanning distance. For phone scanning at arm's length, 2-3cm is fine. For posters, scale up. The error correction level also affects scanability.

SVG for print (scales infinitely), PNG for web/screens. SVG is smaller file size too. If you're unsure, SVG is generally the better choice.

Not directly in this tool, but high error correction (H - 30%) allows up to 30% of the code to be obscured. Generate with H correction, then overlay a small logo.
